The TVSD Commission was established in 2019 under Article 31 of the Jordanian Constitution and pursuant to Law No. (9) /2019: TVSD Law, prepared in line with the recommendations of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development (the development of organizational structures and a guideline for sector governance to ensure that accountability is applied in the sector).

Message from the President

The TVSD Commission was established in 2019 under Article 31 of the Jordanian Constitution and pursuant to Law No. (9) /2019: TVSD Law, prepared in line with the recommendations of the National Strategy for Human Resources Development (the development of organizational structures and a guideline for sector governance to ensure that accountability is applied in the sector).

Vision

Manpower with vocational and technical experience and skills, that meets the needs of the labour market, and capable to participate in entrepreneurial projects.

Mission

Motivate the Jordanian youth to be enrolled in the TVET sector, contribute to job creation, consolidate the concept of entrepreneurship, solve the problems of poverty and unemployment, and contribute to economic growth.

Goals

  • Encourage all forms of learning and skills development and recognize them within the educational system and the labour market, in addition to creating new high-level options for technical and vocational education and training commensurate with the levels of the National Qualifications Framework.
  • Improve the quality of TVET by setting fixed standards for appointing and training of trainers in the sector, harmonizing standards and ensuring quality among all institutions, and raising the level of coordination with the private sector.
  • Diversify methods of financing the TVET sector, including encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors.
  • Promote TVET as a golden opportunity for learning from an early age to ensure a decent living.
